Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

  • Underrepresented minority students can apply for an application fee waiver through the Free App program
  • McNair Scholars and SROP Scholars are also eligible for application fee waivers. Applicants should note their participation in the McNair program on the Ohio State application. They will then be prompted to request a fee waiver, and should have their McNair or SROP director send confirmation of participation to fee_waivers@gradsch.osu.edu.
  • SROP Scholars are also eligible for the Patrick S. Osmer SROP Fellowship
  • Students who are part of the GEM database are eligible for the Discovery Scholars Fellowship.
