Professional Overview
Dr. Pomeroy’s research is in the areas of infectious disease transmission and control. The goal of her research is to understand disease ecology, evolution, and spatial patterns with an emphasis on emerging and reemerging diseases. This involves using data and models of host-pathogen dynamics to identify causes of epidemics in many human and animal systems.

Dr. Pomeroy co-teaches PUBHEPI 5420, a 3-credit hour course called “Modeling Infectious Disease Transmission in Humans and Animals.” She also has helped develop courses for Data Analytics in Public Health and will be part of the instructional team for these courses.
