Dr. Winston's research centers on water resource management.  Much of his work is related to urban stormwater  and relationships between stormwater control measures and their broader impacts on society, including abilities to improve water quality, mitigate the negative consequences of urban hydrology, provide ecosystem services, and offset the effects of climate change.
